Bijzonderheden: De reus Reprobus droeg Jezus vermomd als kind naar de overkant van de rivier. Bij elke stap die hij zette werd zijn last zwaarder en zwaarder. Het water steeg en aan het einde stond hij tot zijn schouders in het water waarna Christus zich openbaarde. Reprobus liet zich dopen en nam de naam Christophorus of Christoffel aan en werd hierna de patroonheilige van de reizigers. 24 juli is zijn naamdag en nog steeds worden er auto's gezegend in het Brabantse dorpje Elsendorp.
